The fine people at Lethe Press and I would like to remind you of the imminent publication of Wilde Stories 2009: The Best of the Year’s Gay Speculative Fiction, which reprints—among other fine pieces (I’ve seen the proofs)—my Arabian Nights fantasy “Firooz and His Brother.” Look for it in October.
In other developments, the second issue of Lethe’s new quarterly periodical, Icarus: The Magazine of Gay Speculative Fiction, will be released at around about the same time. (That’s the cover of issue #1 up there.) I’ll be in it—with a reprint of the short story “From The Bridge,” originally published in 1992 in Universe 2.
And another thing. Probably before the end of the year, Lethe will publish a new edition of Safe as Houses, thereby rendering my self-published POD reprint superfluous and beside the point. (They’re letting me design the new one, though, so the pretty man will stay on the cover.) The sentence and paragraph/CreateSpace edition has therefore been withdrawn from sale. I suppose that means the few copies printed are now rare and irreplaceable! You should have picked one up while you could.
